My 3rd time to Italy... i have to visit the same tourist interest again to accompany my friends... since my big boss came along, we had to fulfill her dream which was shopping at the factory outlets and designer boutiques at Rome...(syyhhh... it was just a window shopping for me.. way too expensive for me to afford )  it was autumn n a bit cold and windy esp during nite...

Switzerland & Rome (30 August - 2 Sept 08)

So, we completed the training with flying colors (assumption, haha). We rented a car and drove to Interlaken, Switzerland with the help of GPS and of course the map. We stopped for a while at this huge lake named unknown (i cant remember, i'm aging, oh nooo). Then, we crossed the border to Swiss. Once we were in Swiss, the view, the temperature and everything changed… since it’s getting darker, we chose the highway rather than the countryside road…it wasted our precious 2 hours, but for safety, we didn’t mind since the road zigzags the countryside, arrived at the hotel around midnite. The following day, we went up to Jufraujoch (3300++ meter above the sea). There are few trains that we need to ride. From Wilderswild to Lauterbrunnen (with few amazing waterfalls).
Then took the next train to Kleine Scheidegg. And next to our destination, Jufraujoch. There is snow all the year but as it is summer, the snow is not so fluffy, sort of ‘air batu campur’. I was so jakun… hahaha.. the team even called that day as one of the program show entitled “Bersama ‘me’ menunaikan impian”..hah hah..funny..just assume that I didn’t notice the excitement in their eyes when they were stepping on the snow… We went into the Ice Palace..but i dont have the pic now... it's like few tunnels were dug inside a huge iceberg and we can walk into the tunnels... After Jufrau, we went down and drove our way back through the zigzag road..the view of the countryside is soooo wonderful, I was even thinking to pinch myself just to ensure that I wasn’t in a dream… spent the night at Aigle… a small town in Swiss… the next morning, toured a bit to the orchard area… then drove back to Genoa… on the way, we stopped at a small town named Courmayeur … from here, we can climb up to Mont Blanc with the cable car…from the town, I could see the snow at the top of the mountain… Mont Blanc is actually a border of Italy and France… since we need to catch our flight, we just viewed Mont Blanc from Courmayeur… then Alhamdulillah, we safely arrived in Genoa airport for the next flight to Rome, before going back to Malaysia… in Rome, it was the first Ramadhan and unbelievable, I managed to stay fresh until 5pm, after that I sort of fainted at the hotel room..hihi.. this time, took the chance to enter Colloseum (9 euro) and visited some of the main attractions that I didn’t visit during my previous trip 6 months ago… and I guess that’s all…THE END..

We were a bunch of crazy yet ambitious people. We went to Pisa and Florence (Firenze) in one day. We missed the planned train to Florence from Pisa (the ticket are open, so it didn’t matter). Due to that, we ended by spending less than 2 hours in Florence which we regretted so much. Cos there was a ‘pasar malam’ there… come to think of it, we were saved by God from spending more money there… I have no photo for Florence since the camera battery was flat at that time. I’ll grab the photos from my colleague soon and I’ll upload it later. (25th Sept - updated)

Milan & Venice (22 & 23 August 2008)

Our trainer finished the training just before lunch on Friday (guess during the class, he could see us with the bubble "venice..i'll come to you" hehe), we took a trip to Venice. On the way, as we need to transit in Milan, we took the opportunity to have a glimpse of Milan in just 3 hours. Went to Duomo and few blocks of shopping area. Then, took the train to Venice. Spent a night there and explored Venice Island the following day. So cantekkkkkkkkkkk. Oh, by the way, the Italian pronounce Milano and Venezia.

Ok as promised, I just updated the first version of my trip… (let me be frank, hehe, actually, it was a work trip, I had a training in Genoa, Italy, (again, by d way) we went to few places in Italy and Swiss. For the first entry, I update the places of interest I visited in Genoa. This time, since it is summer, we have more time to spend before the dusk. The last time it was winter and i have to work until 8 pm. This time is different cos the training ended at 4.30 pm everyday. Lucky us. Ok, next version will come soon.
